Business Advisory Committee

The Business Advisory Committee focuses on the issues that affect our workforce, (ie what can IDF do to assist in creating opportunities for business and job creation, and on disseminating information to the local business community on what resources are available to help them grow and prosper.)  The committee has also discussed hosting networking events that would help local businesses work together to better our economic base. Issues reviewed have included “The State of Iberia’s Economy” and what IDF can do to address the business community’s needs from a Business Owner’s point of view. In addition, the Committee is considering hosting informational seminars which would cover topics of interest for the Business Community or informational sessions on other services and incentives offered by various agencies which might help a Business Owner’s bottom line.

The Committee generally meets on or about the fourth Thursday on each month at 12:00 Noon at the IDF offices located at 101 Burke St, in New Iberia.  Please call 367-0834 for more information.
