The Louisiana Workforce Commission is recognized as the labor exchange for the state of Louisiana by serving as the link between employers, job seekers, and training entities to provide the skills training, employment services, and re-employment resources necessary to increase employment in Louisiana.

 


The Louisiana Department of Economic Development is the main economic development agency for the state of Louisiana. The State’s roster of business incentives is designed to retain and attract new industry; foremost among them are the tax credits and rebates, infrastructure assistance and workforce training.


The value of agricultural research and extension to U.S. economic development and to the well-being of the American people has been recognized since the founding of this country. The LSU Agricultural Center , through its Extension Service, helps the people of Louisiana - both rural and urban - improve their lives through an educational process that uses research-based knowledge focused on issues and needs. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette New Iberia Research Center specializes in the breeding, management, and importation of a diverse range of nonhuman primate species and offers a broad range of diagnostic, laboratory, and human resources for the development and characterization of nonhuman primate models for applied and basic research aimed at promoting human quality of life.



Acadiana Works, Inc. is a private non-profit organization funded by the local Workforce Investment Board #40. As the "one-stop operator" of the Workforce Investment Act, we offer access to a wide variety of workforce and related services in one convenient location. Job seekers and employers may utilize our centers for the most comprehensive workforce services available through state-of-the-art technology.


The Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization not associated with any governmental agency. When you become a member of the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce, you are hiring a full-time organization, which is working to improve business in Iberia Parish.

 




 

 

 The Louisiana Technical College System operates a campus located at the Acadiana Regional Airport. The Teche Area Campus location provides instructional programs with provide skilled employees for business and industry that contribute to the overall economic development and workforce for the needs of the state. With over 500 students enrolled in 16 different areas of instruction, the college is committed in providing postsecondary instruction in vocational and technical education to Acadiana students helping them prepare for career employment and advancement.

Iberia Parish is part of the larger Acadiana region. We are connected with commerce through the AEDC, a regional economic development organization. Click on the logo to learn more about the AEDC.
